Hey guys, so I just downloaded Hwinfo today to monitor my GPU and CPU temperatures when I'm in game and to make sure everything's in "tip-top shape". Apparently though, Hwinfo has two readings for CPU temperature (taken while Bioshock Infinite is running in the background): "CPU 0" and "CPU 0 Package". In the screenshot i posted (below) you can see that "CPU 0" is running at an average of about 44/45 degrees Celsius, but "CPU 0 Package", is running at the ludicrous temperature of 93.6 degrees Celsius on average. I would like to know what the difference between these readings are and if I should be concerned. I'm about 95% sure that the "package" reading is probably not important, or if it is important its completely wrong since my PC feels extremely cool (for running Bioshock Infinite in background) and has never once shut down on me, even when I run heavily modded skryim, bf4, and other demanding games. In any case, I'm not super concerned about all this since my PC displays no characteristics of having a DOA or dying CPU, but mainly I'd just like to know the difference b/t these readings and why the "package" one is so high when I doubt any component in my PC is running that hot. My specs and the Hwinfo readings screenshot are posted below: http://i.imgur.com/aTD586V.jpg http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Trey_A/saved/7wn9TW

Hwinfo also claims my "CPU 0 Package" temperature is 66 degrees Celsius average at idle which is blatantly false. :P

Edit

I Downloaded the trusted monitoring app "Speed Fan" to monitor my CPU again in the same situation w/ bioshock infinite running; this time I received non-idiotic temperatures with an average of 50 degrees Celsius. Though I know my PC's fine now, I would like to fix these false temperature readings from Hwinfor, as I prefer the vast amount of info it offers compared to Speed Fan, yet, at the same time, if it's false information there's no point. :-/ Thanks to all who reply.
