I have in my system a GTX 980 and a GTX 770 set as a dedicated physX card. I was wondering if it was also possible to dedicate it to shadowplay.

thanks for your help!

To be honest i don't think you would notice the difference with a 980 if it was since its using the h.264 encoder and not the GPU.

thanks! I was just wondering.

You can't but you don't need to, Shadowplay has almost no impact and it's less noticeable the more powerful your card is. You also don't need a 770 to process PhysX for a 980.

not really if you play borderlands the pre seq even with my Overclocked + water cooled 780 i cant max the games PhysX i can set it to high but not ultra it would drop to around 30 - 40 FPS in very liquid intense fights because the GPU is processing the PhysX then it drops the usage. And if you have one why not use it xD

If the PhysX card is substantially slower than the main card, you'll actually end up with less performance. Needs to be tested and not assumed that it will be faster.

well i can tell you now a 770 will not keep a 980 back when its just doing physX.
