Hello forum!

I have some questions about the R9 295x2.

I want to get it next fall on Black Friday (hopefully for around $600) but I know for a fact my PC will bottleneck the living shit out of it. So after I buy it, I'm going to try and upgrade to a 4670k soon after. I'm currently running an A8 5600k APU..........................

Anyways, my questions being, what kind of power supply is needed to run the 295x2? (rest of system will include 4670k, 2HDDs, 1 SSD, 8gb RAM, 6-8 Corsair AF fans)

Will the 4670k bottleneck it at all?

Is it even worth buying this? I'm thinking of getting a 144hz 1080p monitor or maybe a 1440p monitor.

(I would fail my dear, AMD if I bought an Nvidia card. So before you say it, no.)

Also, what's a good LGA 1150 motherboard for $100-$200 range?

Thanks!!

Ehhhhhhhhhhh

Well.. perhaps... but I dunno.. maybe for higher res gaming.  But honestly.. for 2560 and below two 970s can easily equal it.

At least 750w I'd say.

I just don't know if this is a good idea anymore; I wonder if 2 290s cost less and perform better?

Give yourself more space and get maybe 750-850, Theres a good amount of Z97 boards for around 100-200 like the MSI Z97s, ASUS Z97s, Gigabyte Z97. If your planning to upgrade everything during black friday, go for a 4690K, its cheaper than the 4670 at times.

The 4670K will be fine.

I would advise getting the i7 if you can afford it, but an unlocked i5 at 4.4ghz or higher should handle a 295x2 in most cases, at least at this point in time. by this fall you should have a better idea on cpu needs.
