I'm building a computer for a friend and he wants to install OS X on it.

What are the best components possible (and fully compatible)?

Is the 5820k supported?

And what about graphic cards?

I've read this guide

http://www.tonymacx86.com/building-customac-buyers-guide-january-2015.html

the best graphic card between the "full supported" ones is the gtx 760, why is there no mention about 770/780?

gtx 980 and 970 are between the "alternate cards" wich are supported only with nvidia drivers but I've read in some topics that they have problems with output (only DVI supported and other stuff like that), is it an actual problem (or only rumors)?

another question: many new macs have AMD graphic cards so... is it possible to use an amd card in an hackintosh? a 290x would be perfect

ps: forgive me if I've made some mistake

while there is a great community on here, the tonymacx86 forums would definitely be the place to look for that info, as anyone on here will just link you to posts there anyway.

When in doubt, re-format.
