Do you guys play with it on or off? What are the advantages of both? Im attempting to use 800dpi with no acceleration and a ingame sensitivity of 2.5 for CSGO for better aiming (coming from 1000dpi, acceleration on and 1.85 ingame sensitivity)

I don't think you will get any better with a more sensitive mouse, It becomes really difficult to control your aim. Unless you start practicing and become an expert at stoping exactly where the enemy is xD otherwise you will see no advantage in game.

Accel can be good for fast paced games like quake and tf2, but for cs not so much if at all especially if you awp

The only thing I can think of that would make accel good in cs is if you have a really low sens (80+cm/360) you would also need to stuff around a lot with maxsens commands to figure out what works for you

I use mouse accel all the time because I'm weird but most would argue that it's better to leave it off to be more precise.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Mouse acceleration creates inconsistencies in your aim, so many people do what they can to disable it. This is why most "gaming" mice are optical.

If you want to do enough nerd shit you can make it consistent in games

Also accel caused by a sensor is not the same as custom accel found in games

I figured that much, but in my experience I'm more accurate after disabling it.

That said, it still has it's uses. It's just a preference after all.
