Hi guys AussieLad here from down under  :)

I have been a massive fan of LinustechTips on youtube since forever.

I am in the process of building a new gaming PC and wanna go pretty hardout.

Can you please critique my build please?

http://www.pccasegear.com/sc/lQI

The real question I have for the GTX 970 Gaming G1 is;

Will it fit in either the 'Phanteks Enthoo Luxe' or the 'Corsair 780t Graphite' case with no issues for room? (SLI down the track and will be taking the hard drive cages out)

Thanks in advance  :)

Hey there, welcome to the forums :)

the build looks good!

You could try save on a few spots and get an i7.

Get a cheaper 650 watt psu,

Get rid of the custom cables (as nice as they are :P

and consider a 290x(x). they are a good bit cheaper

At least, you can save a few buck and just get the smaller psu :)

Bleigh!  Ever hear of AC series?

I would get the Black Phanteks Luxe if doing a Red/Black theme.

The 750W G2 is enough.

Gigabyte G1 will easily fit in either case.

You can also get replacement cables for the EVGA G2 although they are kind of pricey.

Here's your build. All from AUS. Since you didn't state what you'd be using your machine for, I went with the standard recommendation.

@Nup, in AUS, the difference with the 290x and 970 is so small, that it's made up with the stronger PSU cost. So I decided to stick with the 970.

Hi guys, after some consideration, what do you think of this option?

http://www.pccasegear.com/sc/jiF

I have gone with the red and black because i think it looks pretty cool :)

Also this rig will be for gaming and light video editing.

Would there be any difference with going for 2x8 gb sticks of memory as opposed to 4x4 gb sticks?

I would stick with 2 x 8GB.

If you go with the Phanteks Luxe then get the Phanteks LED strip as it matches the external LED lighting.

Also I would go with the H105 over the H100i. The Coolermaster Nepton 280L is also very good but uses 140mm fans.

Can we use other stores, aside for pccasegear? They belong to partpicker for a reason.

If not.... well, we'll think about that once you give us an answer.

The reason that I use PCCG is that I have a 15% coupon from my last purchase :)

Okay... we got this.

All red, as you requested. AND, all parts from pccasegear, and the ones that I couldn't get the direct link, I added in the form of a custom price.

Oh, btw, it also has the best CPU cooler in existence:

Ah the Raijintek, how is that? I have been looking for reviews but haven't found much mate!

thanks for the assistance btw bud appreciate it!

They are from EU (I think Germany?). Since they don't have much support in the US, they are one of those unknown companies. Oh well.

BUT, according to the tests of a reviewer in my country, it is an excellent cooler. He made various points, which I find completely valid, and thus I also trust on the potential of this cooler, even if it isn't well known.

EDIT: do you doubt it's cooling potential? http://www.kitguru.net/components/cooling/henry-butt/raijintek-triton-aio-liquid-cpu-cooler-review/6/

If you go with the Raijintek just be careful if you add the coloured dye. The cooler comes with 'clear' liquid as standard and you can add one of the three dyes (Red, Blue, Yellow).

There is a 'warranty void' sticker that you have to remove if you want to add the dye. As long as you are careful then you will be ok. It won't void your warranty unless you 'fuck up' so to speak  :D

It is a nice looking cooler though.

just a quick question, if i get the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe case, will the Corsair Hydro Series H105 Liquid CPU Cooler fit in the top?!

I don't know. Let me look a the manufacturer page:

First link. Says it does.

Ok guys! I am JUST about to order my rig!!

Here is my final project! :)

http://www.pccasegear.com/sc/cv1

I am pretty excited!

I would take the H105 over the H100i. It fits in the 780T if you look at tech specs- http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/graphite-series-780t-full-tower-pc-case

I think you can also drop down to the EVGA Supernova G2 750W. That is enough for SLI.

One other thing. As the 780T doesn't have a psu cover then the Black cables coming out of the psu might still be visible. It is hard to say for definate how much you will see, but I thought I would point it out.

If you look at this pic you can make out the cables coming out of the psu housing - https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Corsair/Graphite_780T/images/finishedside1.jpg

This is with the side panel off - https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Corsair/Graphite_780T/images/install1.jpg
