OK so im making a new system and i have already pretty much decided on what to buy except for my gpu which comes between the 280x and the r9 290 when i go to buy it. Anyway i wanna buy it in parts so its less financially stressful and was wondering what order i should buy my parts in.

a simple list with terms such as cpu and psu in it will suffice thanks :)

CPU-i5 4690k 4.4ghz @ 1.190V, MOBO-MSI z97 gaming 3, Cooler-hyper 212 evo, GPU- r9 290x asus directcuII (-37Mv), Storage-120gb v300(switching soon), 1tb caviar blue, CASE-Red/black h440, PSU-Antec TPC 650.

Well there's not much you can skip if you want a fully working system..

You definitely need:

CPU

MOBO

RAM

STORAGE

OS

SCREEN

KEYBOARD AND MOUSE

PSU

CASE

from the start. GPU and an aftermarket cooling solution are the things you can skip.

Guess what I'm getting at is, what's the point when you need most components to get the PC to boot?

All you'd be doing is staring at components you can't use just yet and risking something better/cheaper coming out while you get everything.

I am not in a financial position that allows me to make the system i want and buy it all at once, if i dont do it in parts i dont get my system unfortunately. ill buy the RAM, and PSU, the case and the cpu and mobo in that order, means i can have something that can be posted within a few weeks, after that ill get onto the monitor and my extra storage and gpu will come last i spose/

I already decided on an i5 4690k  and the motherboard will be one of two z97 variants. thats set in stone so its only really the gpu that might upset my build plan
