So the issue is that when I hit the power button, the powersupply (Corsair CX600M) and motherboard (Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 SKT-AM3+) and all other components power on for a split second and then it shuts off. After about 4 seconds everything starts again perfectly at my 4.5Ghz oc of my Fx-4300. If i press the power button in that time, nothing happens and I have to replug the 24PIN CONNECTOR!

Does anyone have any idea what the problem is? Or do you need more detail?

i don't think you have to unplug the 24 pin connector just unplug the pc from the wall for 8 sec.

my suggestion is just don't press the power button twice

The only thing I can think is that it would be the motherboard, but then it could be the psu but I doubt your using more then 600w at boot unless you have sli or crossfire

so inconclusion I dont know why I posted because I have no idea

Maybe the board just designed that way...I have a old gigabyte X58-UD3R board and it has the same problem, boots up split sec, shut down, boots up normal again, but it only happened once, after I flashed to latest BIOS,or Clear CMOS,or Change battery, other than that,it boots up normally.

And you really don't need to unplug 24pin then plug it back in,just switch off PSU,Switch on,Push the Power button,it should work,at least it works for me.

Gigabyte's Energy Saving?
