$1500 Budget Build

Snake21
Go to solution Solved by ELSknutson,

The cpu will not work for that and for 1500 I could build and ship you a better system as can half of the other subscribers

The system is unbalanced you should never spend more on your case then your CPU unless your case is like an inwin s frame or something from lian li

The build should look more like:

Intel i5 4690k                          $230     http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117372&cm_re=4690k-_-19-117-372-_-Product

Asus Maximus Hero VII          $169 Refurbished http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132245&cm_re=asus_maximus_vii_hero-_-13-132-245-_-Product

EVGA 750W Gold PSU           $89.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438027&cm_re=evga_750W-_-17-438-027-_-Product

2TB hitachi  HDD                     $69.95   http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA5AD1P08389&cm_re=2_tb_hitachi-_-1Z4-0005-00041-_-Product

Why would you run an i5 2400? A build like that CRAVES an i7 4790k! :c

That is a bit unbalanced. Do you just need the tower ?

the i5 2400 will not work with the Maximus Hero VII.

i5 2400 is socket 1155 and the Hero VII only supports socket 1150 processors.

and please get an ssd. its totally worth it!

thanks for the tip,

Go with the power supply from my spec. It is a far better unit than the EVGA NEX.
