Games not using nVIDIA gpu

I have been playing game on my pc for a while and one day I went to play BFH Beta and it didn't launch. I got the game to work and it lags so much. It does the same with other games that i got high frame rate on. And I think that it is using the integrated amd graphics. I have tried going in to nVIDIA control panel and there is no option in 3D settings to choose what gpu can be used for the games. I have a EVGA GTX 750ti Super clocked twin cooler and a AMD FX-4300 CPU. I have also checked how much of the gpu is being used in games and it is only utilizing about 135mhz of the entire gpu. The gpu is overclocked also. I need help as soon as possible.

@wolfslab are your monitors plugged into the motherboard or the gpu?

That CPU should get an upgrade as soon as you can.

 

As djdwosk97 said, make sure you're using the proper output.

how in the name of all that is holy is an fx 4300 bottlenecking a 750ti?

Maybe the AMD drivers are conflicting with the nividia ones. Try uninstalling both and install the Nividia driver first

I have reinstalled the nvidia drivers and i have not ever seen any amd drivers on my pc.

Yes, it is. His gpu should be upgraded before his cpu (well...at the same time...but still -- an FX4300 isn't really going to hold back a 750ti in most cases).

An FX4300 isn't an APU.

It started after BFH Beta would not launch. I had to reinstall the directx that was in the game files and then i reinstalled my nvidia drivers. Ever since then i have had lagg on all games i play.

I was thinking of a different processor, that's my mistake.

Disable onboard GPU and uninstall AMD graphics drivers.

The only amd program or driver is for amd overdrive, and i use it for overclocking my cpu.

It seems strange that you're plugged into the GPU and getting output, but it's not ramping up. Do you use GeForce experience?

Yes, i use geforce experience.

There is no onboard graphics for a FX4300.

 

If you see low GPU utilization check out your cpu usage at the same time and see how high that is. If CPU usage is high but GPU isnt then you for sure have a bottleneck due to the CPU. Don't worry about the drivers in this case because there are no video drivers for a CPU with no integrated graphics. The only drivers you need to worry about are they nvidia drivers and I doubt yours are messed up.

Today i found a new geforce update for my gpu and updated it. I ran a game and it did not lag like it did before. There is high gpu usage but low cpu usage.
