Maybe you should use your motherboard driver disc,to see if it's Intel chipset drivers or Intel related stuff..or you can find unknown device's code and google it.

i will try this in the morning, but i dont think is related to any intel driver. everything was and is working fine

From the Device properties in device manager on details tab select the Hardware IDs property and Google the PCI\VEN_xxxx&DEV_xxxx code (IE "PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_1600", my network card)

this should give you several results for driver download sites. I would not download the drivers from these results but it should at least hint towards what the device is, then go to the correct manufacturers page and get official drivers.

I've seen a similar issue with VMware causing devices to be identified incorrectly, I don't know if this issue affects Virtual Box.

i already tried that, Hardware ID does not appear in the selection box so i can't find out the device codes. also many users report problems with this driver when using VMware. Although i uninstalled it a long time ago (using VirtualBox from oracle instead) i will install it again and see if anything happens. tnx for the reply!
