cpu intel help?

so im getting a my first gaming desktop i have a $2000 USD budget im just stuck on what processor to get 

what i am going to do with the rig:

- play games alot

- maybe edit a little 

- try to learn photoshop

if you don't want to spend that much, get a xeon e3. still quad cores with hyper-threading and all features of an i7

They would also allow you to overclock them.

i5 are without hyperthreads, meaning you "only" get 4 cores, but if you're gonna do just a bit of editing, that's perfectly fine

and no, that cpu won't bottleneck a 980
