Matte-ify MadCatz Mouse

Hey all!

I have a quick question:

I own a MadCatz M.O.U.S.9 Bluetooth mouse that I use for work. (And before someone slams me for it, the reason I insisted on a BT mouse is because I usually end up using all of the USB ports on my work laptop (Gigabyte P35K), so I needed a mouse the doesn't need a receiver.)

 

Anyway, back on topic:

 

I ended up buying the glossy black mous9 from Amazon because for some reason it was only $50 at the time, while the matte version was $99. The only problem is that the "G" in glossy stands for "gross", and cleaning the mouse from my (not particularly sweaty) hand is a pain...

 

So my question is whether there is any way to "matte-ify" the mouse?

Pretty much any option is up for consideration, whether it's painting, wrapping, whatever, as long as it's not too expensive (I don't want the total cost to end up being equal to the matte version of the mouse in the first place), and also, preferably, removable if (for some weird reason) I want to go back to glossy.

Basically you can fake a brushed aluminum finish with Scotch Bright.
