Hello,

I am about to purchase an external HDD too backup my computer files.

I am looking at two hard drives around the same price, but i'm not sure which one to get.

Here are the two:

Thanks in advance,

- Harry

EDIT - I will be buying the 500gb version of the HDD

It seems impossible until it's done.

I can't say anything good or bad about the Samsung or the Toshiba, but I have the 2 TB

WD Passport and it works nicely, even in Linux. :)

In the end though, it's an HDD, as long as you don't get a DOA drive or one manufacturer

didn't do anything weird with their firmware there shouldn't be much difference.
