OCing my 780

Hey forum, I have much less experience OCing GPU's that CPU's so I'm coming to you guys for some pointers. I'm going to be OC'ing my 780 today and i was wondering whats a good increment to raise the clock offset and test then raise and  test etc. In Logan's video he said to raise the memory clock offset by 500Mhz causes almost everybody's card can handle that. My card is already superclocked (EVGA) so i'm not going to be pushing it tooo far. Also i'm using the reference cooler cause of how sexy it looks so I'm gonna try not to mess with voltages too much. And last thing, what's a good amount of time to run OC scanner/kombustor to validate an OC? Thanks.

10Mhz increments for core clock and 20Mhz for memory clock. Do each separate until you find a stable overclock for each.

 

Don't use furry donuts to test for overclock stability; use actual games.

I won't recommend running OC Scanner/ Kombustor as in my experience it's not a real test, run some games for the amount of time you usually play. I recommend BF3 or Crysis 3 or Far Cry 3, anyone of these will work great.

I'm pretty sure GPU boost 2.0 overclocks automatically depending on your temps

 

You can go way beyond what GPU Boost 2.0 will give you.

Around 1200 mhz with voltage fiddling.

Do you guys think i should touch my voltage? With the stock cooler i didn't think it would be a good idea since it would get pretty hot

Temperatures will still be fine

The game would outright crash after awhile or there and then.

You will see artefacts or if it's on the limit, it will crash the video driver, and the game outright.
