Hi,

I am looking to build a watercooling loop for a system that has a 4790k, and dual 980. It is in the SMA8 case from caselabs. Needs to include dual res and hard tubing. AUS

This is what I came up wih - I was wondering if it was any good.

Urm... What do you want us to say? Will it fit? Probably. Will it cool effectively? Probably. Is it any good? Dunno depends how well you bend the tubing and stuff, one thing I cannot stand is 90 degree fittings with rigid tubing because whats the point in having something that will bend to 90 degrees and fit into a normal fitting? Lazy if you ask me.

@Benji_w I would disagree on the "will it cool effectively? Probably"answer.A 480mm and a 560mm rad plus a D5 pump is MORE than enough for 2 980s and a 4790k overclocked balls to the wall.As it would have a surface area of 1040mm that's pretty awesome.

So what you're saying is it probably is enough...  ;)

At this point, you might as well to a x99 build if you want to put this much money in your build.

Also, the rad setup looks just ridiculous. It is looking like you want to keep your cpu and gpus at 40 celsius under load

Cpu:i5-4690k Gpu:r9 280x with some other things

Instead of Bitspower for the 90-degree elbows, consider going with Swiftech or Koolance as they are much less expensive and work just as well. And if you're planning on hiding the pump in the lower part of the case, then buy a standard or bare D5 and buy the separate Swiftech housing with G1/4" threads.

It's always best to go with the largest radiators you can support, especially if you want a quiet build. With the two radiators that were selected, low RPM fans should keep everything cool and quiet without a problem.

Are you sure you need 40 fittings?? That is an insane number with the components you have listed.

Actually it all depends on what the fittings are and how things are laid out. I used probably approaching 40 fittings total in my build -- over half of which were hardline fittings, but it also included extension fittings (needed 2 on each ST30 radiator to clear fans among other places), elbow fittings, two SLI fittings, drain ports, 4-way blocks, male-to-male fittings and so on...
