Who is planning on getting the HTC One Google Edition?

I bought the One at release and I just installed the GE ROM and it is amazing.

Stock android + HTC = amazing

I like stock android but it is overrated. Trying to use it for any period of time makes me just want to install custom roms like Cyanogen Mod for the missing features.

I don't need "features" I use apps like Facebook, instagram, texting, chrome. I just want something that is stable, clean, and reliable; stock android!

*shrug* I don't notice anything that isn't "stable, clean and reliable" on the right device running it which usually are ones that have stock android built for it.

What about the improved Camera app in Sense...

 

Anyway, Cyanogen Mod on the HTC One will be on par with the stock rom's stability soon enough, as well as every AOSP rom for it probably as they jump on the code.

The Camera app actually isn't any better in sense. The UI is worse!

The stock Android camera app is an abortion of an app filled with level after level after confusing menus and poor UI with clumsy holding down your finger swiping between menus when half the time there isn't even a text description on what the option does. The stock camera has little to nothing when it comes to features while the Sense UI's camera has real-time filters, the Zoe which is great forletting you get the post possible shot or just taking quick videos without missing anything before pressing record and the video recording includes different recording modes like slow motion while Stock has nothing to speak. You can take quick videos with the Sense UI camera since you don't have to swap between shooting modes like on stock Android thus having have both photo and video at your finger tips. On stock Android's camera app you can't even place an on-screen grid for framing your photos, a basic feature in any photography app. There's just a lot of feature's that lacking on the stock Android camera app.
