Decent Smart watch?

So im looking for a smart watch. maybe around $150 max. it would be just for reading texts and stuff. Would something like the pebble be good? I think the steel version is like $99 now right?

The Sony SmartWatch 2 is very good for notifications. I have the Moto 360 now and prefer it overall, but for texts, email and other notifications, the SW2 is better. Battery life on it is good, often getting over 2 days of use in my case, and the vibration is pretty powerful, it's impossible to miss a notification that comes through on it.

I personally am going with the Pebble. I'm not a fan of metal/leather bands and I'm not seeing a ton of new features that really make me want to pay another $100.
