Hello Guys,

Just joined the Forum and (not sure if this is the right place for this) and

After Browsing around YouTube i saw a Vid Linus did on Bottlenecks,

I was wondering if one of you knowledgeable Gents or Linus could tell me if i have possibilities for them with

my system please,

My System:

I just bought a G30i 3XS Gaming PC from Scan computers in Lancashire,  UK which has these parts installed:

CPU: Intel Core i7 4770, 1150, Haswell, Quad Core, 3.4GHz, 3.9GHz Turbo, 1200MHz GPU, 34x Ratio, 84W

System Memory: 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz

Motherboard: Asus H81M-PLUS, 2xSATA 6Gbps, 2xSATA 3Gbps, 2xUSB3, 4xUSB2, HDMI, DVI, D-Sub, mATX

SSD: Sandisk SSD, ULTRA II, 2.5" SATA 6GB/S, 480GB

HDD: 1TB Seagate Barracuda, 7200rpm, 64MB Cache

DVD Drive: Samsung SH-224DB (SATA)

Case: Corsair 200R ( I've Installed some more Corsair 120mm SP and 120mm AF fans to the  tower too)

Power supply: 600W Corsair CXM series, Hybrid Modular, 80 PLUS Bronze

CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper TX3 EVO CPU Cooler (

(Did have an Intel reference CPU cooler 1150 in But i change it a couple of days ago Due to high temps and found very unevenly spread thermal paste))

Any bottle necking possibilities please? and what would be the Best GPU setting too please for gaming?

I have a friend with similar specs.

Your graphics card is extremely weak to be paired with that CPU, but you do have the capability to upgrade to practically any new single gpu card in the market.

Sig under construction.

Thank you :)

When you say my GPU is "Weak to be paired with that CPU" Why please?

I'm playing Resident evil 6 at the moment and have No problems what so ever with this GPU,

What GPU do you think would be better and why please?

Kind regards,

Les

Well it's not a bad graphics card, but any i3 / i5 CPU would get you pretty much the same performance in games when using a 750ti. So when you compare the two, the CPU is a bit overkill :)

Desktop:     Core i7-9700K @ 5.1GHz all-core = ASRock Z390 Taichi Ultimate = 16GB HyperX Predator DDR4 @ 3600MHz = Asus ROG Strix 3060ti (non LHR) = Samsung 970 EVO 500GB M.2 SSD = ASUS PG279Q

Notebook:  Clevo P651RG-G = Core i7 6820HK = 16GB HyperX Impact DDR4 2133MHz = GTX 980M = 1080p IPS G-Sync = Samsung SM951 256GB M.2 SSD + Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD
