Go to solution Solved by werto165,

Hi guys, well you all know the big news about the 970... but i was wondering for the price, and for games at 1080p is it a good choice?, i mean is it worth it now with all this vram bs? i was this close to get one last week before all this happend so now im doing some research and i want to summon all of you guys to help me decide, should i go with this card or not?

P.S: will a 970 g1 fit in my thermaltake commander?

P.S.S: love you guys!

Yes. I love it. But still consider stuff in other price ranges as well.

And Nai said on FB his benchmark may be flawed.

It'll be fine at 1080p.  If you plan on playing on surround monitors, or playing at 1440p or 4k, that's a different story

Its a great choice and it should fit no issue, I got a G1 Gaming to fit into a Thermaltake V3 Black Edition with ease. You might have to move a HDD cage though to get it to fit, will depend on clearance in the end.

Yeah and 1440p shouldn't be a issue in games unless your hitting the VRAM Cap on the card. The last .5GB being slower isn't gonna effect your gaming at all if any it will be a little bit. All cards act differently though when they go into the last .5GB of Memory though.
