So as of today my 3rd 4k screen came in the mail today from newegg.com so happy. Tested out watching Startreck in 4k 2 times today.

Now I got a problem. I have all 3 on my desk hooked up to my computer and it starts to lag when I do stuff I normally do with my old 2 1080p screens and 1 LG 4k screen. I play with 4 EvES running in the backround on one screen, Youtube or netflix on another, And games like Wow, LoL or just started playing Shadows on my 4k. Before I would have to turn down some settings on Shadows and EvE but now i cant even run any of the games at the same time sense i got all 3 4k screens.

Specs

32gbs of 1866 or 2XXX g.skills one or the other.

SSD blaze 500gb 540read 490write + 2 WD Blacks

GTX 780 x 2

My biggest problem is i dont know what cards to get. I was plannig on getting the GTX 970 and sli But i want to make sure it can support my needs I talked to some people earlier about getting the R9 290x 8gb but would I need two of them and will this support my needs or do I need to build another computer too run my setup.

Thank you for your time and I promise to take a picture for your guys its such a sweet setup right now just wish I could play games on it.

It really doesn't matter if you go AMD or Nvidia when it comes to 4K surround/eyefinity, either way it isn't going to happen.

I mean I guess lol, csgo and non-demanding stuff like that would work if you wanted to try it, but you shouldn't be under any illusion of this monstrosity being anything resembling competent at what you're attempting.

Yeah... Not even my system can power that.

You can go back and forget that sorry man. I am running 1 4K screen with my 3way GTX980 SLI. It would be okay to run triple 1440p in Surround or Eyefinity but 4K surround with modern titles is an illusion no matter if nVidia or AMD or how much RAM you have. You simply won´t have enough raw GPU computing power. And more than 2 cards would require X79 or X99 and then you´d need a whole new computer because last thing you want even with AMD´s CF is input lag because running on 4 lanes.

To make 4K happen on 1 screen either a R9 290X 2way CF or GTX980 2way SLI is required to get okay FPS. With my 3 cards the benefit isn´t huge but my min FPS improved quite a good notch.

I dont want to play 1 game on all 3 screens i just want a computer that can run my EvE clients on one and youtube on another and play games like lol or wow, sometimes a new tittle. Im not trying to play like Crysis 3 in on all 3 screens at same time i understand thats not going to happen. Just want to know if there is a way to power what im trying to do.

you'd need 2 r9 295x2 's or 3x 290x 8gb to run this.

your gpus have to run 4 times harder per game at 4k so running games on 2 4k monitors is 8x 1080p or 4 times what they had to do on 2 1080p monitors.

there just isn't a perfect solution at the moment.

you'd be best of running wow or lol at 1440p instead. its not like either is graphically detailed enough to notice.

Gaming PC: • AMD Ryzen 7 3900x • 16gb Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200mhz • Founders Edition 2080ti • 2x Crucial 1tb nvme ssd • NZXT H1• Logitech G915TKL • Logitech G Pro • Asus ROG XG32VQ • SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless

Laptop: MacBook Pro M1 512gb

I assume you are out of Vram.

Can you check your video memory usage in msi afterburners hard ware monitor at desktop with one screen only, with all three enabled, then one you tube video and check it, then open eve as well and check it, and finally open lol and check it (the tutorial will do)

Have them all open to replicate the stutter and I reckon it will be maxed.

Being the case I would suggest two or three r9 290x 8gb cards
