Nvidia ShadowPlay not working?

Title, i try to switch on nvidia shadow play and it doesn't work.

 

There's no error, no message, it says "Activating ShadowPlay" and it doesn't activate it, it remains off.

 

 

Anyone else experiencing this? Can't tell for how long it's been like this, i haven't used it for like a month.

tried to uninstall and reinstall it?

 

make sure its up to date?

Shadow play has been buggy as shit for me, doesn't work for half of my games, of that list including hearthstone, CS:GO and Assetto corsa.
