I use an i-Phone 4s to listen to music while i work out. AAC and MP3 would probably be ok, but i'm a paranoid n00b when it comes to music and bit-rate and other things i don't understand about audio so better safe than sorry.

I'm wondering how do you guys convert your music to ALAC?

Trying to move to higher quality music and don't know how to start, though i have started using F2K.

Please and Thank You!

Converting an mp3 or AAC file to FLAC or ALAC is pointless, FYI.

To convert to ALAC, there's many programs floating out there on the web, but I don't know which is the best, or even which ones are safe.

No, i was using MP3 and AAC as examples of common audio files that would work but i'd still be paranoid about using because i'd always wonder if i'd be getting the best quality of music i can.

Really just going ALAC to shut myself up.

Just asking the best route to get there.

Itunes can rip ALAC from CDs, just select Apple Lossless in rip settings, Foobar can also convert WAV/AIFF/FLAC to ALAC as long as you have iTunes installed on your computer, since it uses QAAC.
