Hello, so basically, what I want is to stream games from my Gaming PC to my phone using limelight. But not a long time ago I tried to host a little blog (i use to used it just to just download my homeworks to school) and I use freedom, for the free .tk domain name and cloudflare for more Security etc... Finally couples days later, I couldn't access the internet and the only way I could is by using my shitty router (2.4Ghz dual band). I tried everything, to factory reset it etc and it didn't work. So now, I'm trying to use my 2.4-5Ghz (d-link) router to do anything to make it usable for playing etc. Even my youtube videos don't stop to crash -,- .

AND BTW: I don't have an internet acess on my 2.4/5Ghz router. Idk why. but my crappy one, yeah.

Point: to be able to make some sh*t happend with the dlink router;

say it to me if something is missing...

final point: what did I do wrong?

HI

On your "baddass" router please give it a static ip,  and a defualt gateway of your other routers main IP.  for DNS please set either google ones or the ones provided by your isp wich is in your other routers config.

for your other router its defualt gateway should be 173.179.211.1 because thats the WAN connection.  the LAN default gateway should be 192.168.0.1.

So for your badass router the config should look as so:

IP=192.168.0.2

Subnet=255.255.255.0

DefaultGateway=192.168.0.1

DNS1=8.8.8.8 (or isp one)

DNS2=8.8.4.4 (or isp one)

DNS can be disabled if you wish, DHCP must be disabled.

Disable DHCP for the badass router

Hello,

Thanks for that I did everything you said but I still have everything like before, internet access on the (SSID) Bigsexy and then nothing on the stream one (badass one)

I'm mabe thinking of the DNS virus... not quite sure what it is but it sounds like it.

Thanks again,

The problem is on the Stream router. You're using your WAN port and disabling DHCP. Your router thinks you are trying to create a separate network from Bigsexy hence why you don't get internet on your gaming rig when you connect to Stream. Bigsexy doesn't have access to devices connected to Stream hence DHCP is unable to assign an IP Address and since DHCP is disabled on Stream. Your gaming rig gets a 169.x.x.x which is a self assigned IP address.

Simple fix is move the port from WAN to a LAN port then make sure DHCP is disabled, then you are good to go.

Alternative solution is continue using the WAN port as it is and enable DHCP. Router's static IP address must conform to Bigsexy. so a 192.168.0.x must be used with the default gateway of 192.168.0.1. DHCP address can be 192.168.x.y. Any device that is connected to Stream will have internet access and can access any network device connected to Bigsexy. Bigsexy can access your router settings, but will not have access to any device connected to stream.

Hope this helps :)

WAN:

Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0

Default Gateway : 173.179.211.1 (when it's suposed to be 192.168.0.1)

Primary DNS Server : ISP stuff for some reasons...

Secondary DNS Server : same here ^^

Advanced DNS : Disabled

Enable DHCP Server : true

DHCP IP Address Range : *.20 to *.199

Leave the Default gateway as it is. Don't change it to 192.168.0.1. That is your WAN Gateway. Your ISP's switch, 192.168.0.1 is the IP Address to your router.
