2 monitors 2 gpu help

what i wanna know is is it possible to use both displays but on the two seprate gpu's so one display on one gpu

because i noticed the main gpu when it has both displays plugged in runs hot and clock higher on idle

This is not possible, when you enable SLI or Xfire, the primary card is the only one able to display information to your monitors. As for part 2 of your statement, With higher resolutions, even at idle, you will see the GPU run hotter and at a higher idle clock speed.
