Need a dust filter??

Go to solution Solved by Godlygamer23,

Both are outtake. But a different config. Push is with the fan on the bottom of the rad pushing air through it, while pull is on the top of the rad pulling air through it.

Dust filters are advised.

Hey guys.

  - I have today buy, many parts for my build. I have buy a h100i, fractal r4, and the g45 MOBO. I wil have the fans to take fresh air in the case. So do i need to buy a dust filter, or does it matter alot?? :)

Its in the case, unless you change any directions of the fan. PSU has one and so does the front

Always have dust filters for intakes. For the Define R4 it comes with filters in the front and bottom of the case. If you want to have the top as an intake or the side as an intake then you would have to buy a filter otherwise all of the intakes that you are probably going to be using is already filtered.

Why would you have your H100i as an intake? The fans on it should be exhaust. You'll only be pushing heat into the case with that setup.

No. You want to get the heat out of the system as soon as possible. Making the fans exhaust is good. You can put them as a "push" or a "pull" config. Or you can do both.

Since, you know so much about it, i have a asus gtx 560ti, and that is a open air card ( I think is called ) and the heat get in the case! Do the h100i still get good temp, or do it get warm?? Thanks.

Are you going to have an exhaust fan? (excluding the fans on the radiator)

Oh! Then i should be fine! I am hoping to overclock the i7 4770k, and i think i gonna but the Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H insted. Should i do the pull or push?? :)

Pull will be better for dust cleaning, but push may be better for temps. (maybe by a few degrees)
