h100i mounting issues

a buddy of mine just got some of his parts in, I don't know him IRL, but he said before he put the heatsink that the backplate was kinda loose, should he just continue putting it on and see if it tightens up?

 

I didn't need a backplate since I'm on lga2011, so IDK how to help him

Yeah its "loose" don't worry just tell him to screw it on and it will be fine, it was made that way, It was the same for me, and I got confused by it but after reading up abit it turns out its normal.
I guess he got a 1150/1155?

the rad won't fit in his case, he has a haf 912 I thought he had a haf 922, DERP He's raging IRL now lolol.  Im gonna have to figure out how he can mount it lmao
