Need help setting up minecraft server

Do all the steps in this, you may have not java setup properly http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Setting_up_a_server

 

Ok thanks. Do you think I have those problems because I don't have the original copy?

Another thing: Before following these instructions please note that running server software on your computer without a clear understanding of what you are doing may seriously harm your system and lead to vulnerabilities

 

How can I damage my pc?

It says: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: no further information. What to do?

1) Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

2) Copy the file "hosts" to where ever you like, it's just temporary

3) Open the file with notepad and remove any line with Minecraft in it

4) Save and close the file and put it back in the etc folder and overwrite the old one

5) Have fun playing Minecraft again

There was no line with Minecraft with it
