So earlier today, we had a power surge and everything went off. After getting power back ~5 seconds later, my router does not want to work properly. I've spent the passed 6 hours trying to fix it, on Comcast support, and doing various other things, to no success.

I have a Netgear WNR2000v4 Wireless router and a Motorola SB6121 Cable modem hooked in to it.

The problem is that I can no longer log in to my router settings to enable wifi and change wifi settings such as password and such, as well as my internet is insanely unstable and is constantly going in and ou. Whenever I try to log in, I get this:

Trying to type the IP in to the browser also returns no page anymore, and www.routerlogin.net/ also does not work.

This is what returns when I go to routerlogin.net:

and when typing in the IP manually:

I have no idea what else to do. Does anybody have any ideas?

The fixes I've tried are:

  • Turn on/off
  • Unplug everything in modem/router
  • Restart PC
  • Use the reboot buttons on both modem/router
  • Call Comcast and have them reboot the modem
  • Windows Troubleshoot
  • Netgear repair

Please help, I have classes that depend on having internet, so I really do need to have this working and have no idea what else to do
