We lost a website...

So the title is a little misleading. We didnt "lose" the website, we more of cant find it...

 

Our company is trying to transfer a website from one host to ours so we can rebuild it, but we dont know who hosts it.

We ran a trace-route, but the last hop drops off and doesn't give an IP or domain. WHOIS and NSLOOKUP point us at the company name and DNS, but not the host. We called the DNS provider, and they are not hosting it and have no clue who is.

 

We also cannot find the owner of the IP used. So, can the community help at all? Or point me in the right direction?
