Hey my computer starting to feel a bit left behind. and i though it was a good time to think about upgrading it. 

 

My computer now is as followed:

Motherboard: Asus Rampage II Extreme, socket-1366

Cpu: Intel Core. i7-975 Processor quad core, 3.33Ghz 12 mb, 130W

Ram : Crucial DDR3 1333MHz 12Gb kit cl9

Hdd: Kingston Kyperx 3k ssd 480Gb  -  Wd desktop Blue 500Gb 

Gpu : ASUS GeForce STRIX GTX 980 4GB PhysX

Monitor: Asus 27" LED PB278QR   2560x1440 IPS

Psu: Corsair HX 1050W PSU

So what i though about buying is 

 

Motherboard: ASUS X99-A, Socket 2011-3 ATX, X99, DDR4, 3xPCIe-x16, SLI/CFX, M.2

Ram:HyperX Predator DDR4 2800MHz 16GB 4x4GB, DDR4 Non-ECC CL14 DIMM (Kit of 4) XMP Predator Series

Cpu: Intel Core i7-5820K, Socket-LGA2011-3 6-Core,3.3GHz,15MB,140W,22nm,28 PCIe lanes,Haswell-E,Boxed,No fan incl.

cpu cooler: Corsair H100i Hydro Series CPU Kjøler

chase : Fractal Design Define R5 Black Vifter: 1x 140mm Front, 1x 140mm Bak, Støydempet. mITX, mATX, ATX, USB3.0/2.0

 

What i use my computer for is Editing Videos - Gaming - Streaming

 

This is about 10k Norwegian Kr.  1131,07 Euro / 1276,89 Dollar  So i though something around this amount.

 

What do you guys think.

upgrape your cpu, your gpu is fine. if you want to go x99, then go for it. i would still recommend i7 4790k with a good z97 motherboard.

If video editing is your main focus, looks like a solid build.

If you're more gaming focused the LGA1150 is still pretty good.

 

Looks solid, just that PSU is a bit overkill :D

He already has it so.. ;)
