good price  for the power supply and futureproof so if i decide to grab a second one of those graphics card and doing sli with them

...and a third.. and a fourth..  c:

Naaaw, I got ya! I bought a 750W PSU to power a Radeon 6870. That's just because it was $15 more for 750W than for 550W. :P

If he got the 290 then he would need the 1000w :P
You can't be serious.  Hyperthreading is a market joke?

No he wouldn't. There is no single card configuration that needs 1000w. My brother has a 8350 and crossfire r9 270x and that's all powered by a 750w psu

You really don't need an 1000 watt PSU, get a 750 watt or something, even that is a bit overkill. Also take the money you save with that and get an Intel CPU and motherboard. Much better performance.

If you are going for a single 280 -> your PSU is wrong. Get a 600w one.

If you are going for a dual 280 -> your PSU is STILL wrong. Go for a 850W one.

You are only getting a 1000w psu if you have a 295x2 or 290x CF (which is the same as a 295x2). Given the fact that you are going for a "weak" gpu, I doubt you'll EVER need those 1000w.

I really hate when all I ask for is if there are going be any performance issues I get all these recommendation that I did not solicite especially for crappy Intel cpu's. all i am asking for is some knowlegde from if there is any known issues
