Are O rings recommended for cherry mx switches? I currently own a Corsair K70 with cherry red switches.

makes blue switches cleaner sounding

makes red switches HILARIOUSLY quiet for a mechanical switch. also shortens distance to bottom out, stifles any noise when bottoming out and smoothes out how it feels when you do bottom out.

I eventually scrambled together what o-rings i could find

and put some on my keyboard with red mx cherry switches.

Definitely preferred oring over non oring, less travel distance

was nice. And depending on how stiff/hard your o-rings are

they could make the touchdown less straining.

Although o-rings might not be very favorable on a keyboard

with clicky tactile or tactile feedback, as you might end up

instantly crashing into the o-ring nearly at the same time as

passing the tactile point depending on how thick the o-ring are.

Not really, i would if i could. I have been thinking about

throwing up a thread asking about the specific stiffness/

hardness of o-rings myself.

Mechanicalkeyboards.com has some offers.

Make a thread :]. I've been wanting to get some o-rings myself for a long time and I don't know what company (like Cherry) o-rings I should get, what hardness, and what thickness to get.
