Hey? Mind making a part list on pcpartpicker.com ? Just makes it easier instead of going through all the links. It will also tell you if the parts are compatible.

motherboard and cpu are not paired well

go with a 4670k, preferably 4690k + Z97 board

and please use pcpartpicker so its easier for us to help!

It should be good, but you don't need a Z*7 board for a non overclockable cpu, also use pcpartpicker, and ssd link isn't working

Desktop: i7-4790k, Samsung 840 EVO 250GB, Seagate Barracuda 3TB, 2xR9 290 Vapor-X's (1 working atm), Asus Z97-Pro, NZXT H440 White, 16GB G. Skill Sniper RAM, NZXT HALE V90 850W.

Laptop: Samsung Chromebook 11.6"

Phone: 8GB Galaxy S4

Looks good, I can tell you're going for red/black so you could also use the corsair h105 instead of the nepton. Equivalent if not better performance. I have it in my pc, love it.

That case will house the STRIX 970, yes! The motherboard and CPU are not.. equally paired, though. You might want to look into that. I wouldn't worry about an AiO cooler unless you go up to at least a 4670k. Get an air cooler and a better chip! Also, 16GB of RAM is overkill for your build. If you have the money, sure. But for games, it won't really benefit you yet.
