Minecraft FPS Madness.

Go to solution Solved by Volbet,

Do you have the 64-bit version of Java installed? It might help.

You could also try and run MC Patcher and put more RAM towards Minecraft

So i maybe a bit late to the party on this one, but i got Minecraft. However i find my FPS shoots all over the place no matter what graphic settings i am using! It can be anywhere from between 1fps to 500fps... This makes the make unplayable and i don't know what to do too fix this issue.

I am running

 2500k 4.5ghz

 GTX 680

 8GB ram 1600mhz

So i don't think that this is the issue.

i experience this in multi-player mode.

I would be very grateful if someone could help with this.

Change the settings for a more stable frame rate. Also, don't run too many programs in the background, Minecraft is very CPU intensive.

It's a combination of hardware and software that determines how Minecraft plays... If you PC has a hard time handling Java then Minecraft will be hard to play... it is also important to have the latest version of Java and Minecraft... and if you run on 64bit, then the 64bit Java...
