I have this TEC that I asked a bit back how to power. Well it turned out that 5V from a old seasonic PSU was good. So I created this monstrosity:

Yes, that is two (more than one!) Corsair SP120lites and an Intel box-coolers Heatsink (sadly I wrecked it's fan), stacked on top of a bunch of spare keycaps. I turned the PSU on with a bit of teleptone wire.

After a bit of operation at 5V, the TEC started condensating and freezing water from the air.

I placed some screws on it for fun. And they froze.

More screws were applied, and more water condensated.

the condensation went a bit nuts after a while.

The screws unfroze rather quickly. I am guessing they were very close to 0 degrees Celsius

Also when I did this yesterday, I noticed, that the peltier was rotating on the thermal compound.

More funs? Somehow I want to use this to overclock a CPU. I would however not do this on my main rig, I am a bit afraid to wreck something.

Nice.  This to cool down radiator or water in reservoir might be an alternative to direct cpu.

There is a thing to be noted about these. They are by no means efficient. Usually they have lot's of Power Draw(and a high TDP) for just a bit of cooling. They produce a lot of additional heat. I personally wouldn't use one in my PC.
