game not compatible with Yosemite

Yesterday while watching Logan's Twitch he was playing Xonotic a game available for free (xonotic.org if you're interested) and when i downloaded it to my mac which has yosemite it says that this version isn't supported. Does anybody know how to make it work?

I was one of the players on that stream yesterday :)

I'm suspecting its probably more a compatibility with that specific game, it was a bit buggy especially in the netcode, when I was playing it yesterday.

 

A quick search shows its a known issue with the Mac OS-X build of Xonotic V8 with Yosemite.
