Should I upgrade

Ok so I am wondering if I should upgrade my Operating system from 7 to 8.1. Does the directx 11.2 in 8.1 help or is Directx 11 still good

 

 

 

The games i usually play are Battlefield 3/4, Planetside 2, Defiance, Team Fortress 2, etc.

These are my Specs:

 

CPU

AMD FX-8320E 3.2GHz 8-Core   Motherboard Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 ATX AM3+   Memory A-Data XPG V2 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600   Storage Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM   Video Card Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB WINDFORCE

If I remeber correctly DirectX12 is for Windows 10. There won't be any harm in not upgrading as if you have a legit Windows you'll get a free upgrade to Windows 10

I don't think it really gives a huge increase, I'd say more hype would have been around it if it did. 

 

Also with win 10 is just around the corner, which comes with dx 12, you may as well wait and then just snatch up the free upgrade ,

8.1 will yield higher fps overall, but the difference will be difficult to detect.
