PSU cable question

jubar247

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/zBAi is my config. I was looking at getting replacement cables from corsair for the AX860i PSU, I looked on the website and I only saw http://www.corsair.com/en/power-supply-units/psu-accessories-1/professional-series-ax850-ax750-ax650-individually-sleeved-modular-cables-white.html

and

http://www.corsair.com/en/power-supply-units/psu-accessories-1/professional-series-gold-ax1200-individually-sleeved-modular-cables-white.html

can I use any of these for my AX860i? I looked at the first link and the watts only go up to 850 and don't have enough cables to fill the PSU and the second link only has 1200 watts so what should i choose because I was told that the AX860i was good enough for my build.

I believe that the pin outs are differenton the I series PSU's I don't think they will work (

The pin out ARE different between the PSU's. The original AX series were Seasonic units and the new iSeries are done by a different company now, not sure which off the top. So, until Corsair gets replacement cables for them, your only option is to get extension cabled and hide the original cables in the back of the case. Also the 650/750/850 will not work on the 1200 and vice versa....

The 860i is more then enough for your build - it's just a new model and Corsair hasn't released replacement cables yet, if they even intend to. If you want those for your build, switch out to a AX850 unit.
