HTPC Configuration

Go to solution Solved by 79wjd,

What do you think of this?

Good.

Hello,

What do you think of these parts for a HTPC? The HTPC will not be used for gaming, it will be used for watching videos, looking at pictures, listening to music and streaming movies and episodes from Netflix. Is the parts listed compatible? Are the parts capable of outputting HD Video?

Thanks in advance.

"Have you tried turning it off and on again?"

I was looking for something with a cubed case. That configuration looks good to me.

See the build hidden in the spoiler.

Also, Silverstone's RVz01 might be a better option for a case as I think it blends in better with other media equipment.

I won't really store many files locally on the system as most things I stream and the stuff that I don't stream will be on my portable hard drive.

Does the CPU come with a Stock Cooler? Does it come with Thermal Paste?

yes it comes with a stock cooler, and the thermal paste is pre-applied.
