i have a 3TB western digital caviar green storage HDD. i have many of my pictures and important documents on it and for some odd reason i cannot access the files on it, i need possible solutions at this point, i have kept the hard drive dry and out of reach for most of its life and at this point i am desperate for solutions. even if u dont have this HDD but u have had the same problem i am wondering how u fix or can fix the problem. thx in advance!

Sorry to hear about your issue. 

 

My advice would be to consult a data recovery company in order to extract the data from your drive, because when it comes to data recovery the more you try to repair the hard drive, the worse the damage may become. Here's a link with our data recovery partners:
