What did I just do?

legend8887

So I ordered these on Amazon and they just came in today.

I know for sure that there were pins coming out of one connector out of one side of the LED strip. I didn't do anything to them and now I don't see them. Did I break the pins somehow?

I can check on my brother's tomorrow and see what you're talking about, possibly. He just bought one of these last week.

I don't see how I could have done anything because I was just examining them.

When I use to fit LED into light fittings (use to be my job). We use to cut them off as they would terminate into a screw down block. But that was a few years ago and there might be an actual standard now for LED fittings :S

If you did break them you can solder them together and then heatshrink the soldered part

There are male and female connectors for those hence the pins can connect into one side with no pins, It doesn't really matter since I assume you will be cutting the 5M length and using the other end with pins, but if you want to also use the other end you will need a 4 pin like below to add pins to it or solder on new lead wires yourself and make the connection. Most of those rolls only come with one side with pins and another without so you can link 5M lengths together to get one massive LED strip.
