I have a Intel Core 2 Duo Quad Core Q6600. I know it isn't a beast, but I'm not going to switch it out yet since it can still play all modern games. The problem is, I have a ATI 3600, and I cannot play anything with it. Do you guys know any gpu's that are good with my cpu, and won't bottleneck? I'm wanting to play games such as Arma, Titanfall, and Gta, so I want something that will last for a good bit until I can buy a new cpu.

Core 2 Duos are still pretty good.

Anything above a 270/960 might get bottlenecked.

That's exactly what I was thinking, a r9 270x, but everyone keeps telling me it would bottleneck with my cpu.

Bottlenecks are not neceseraly a bad thing they just mean that you wont get the most out of your gpu you would still get good performance from virtually and gpu but not as good as if you had a i5 i would surgest r9 270x

I know this is a dumb question, but I won't need to buy a new mobo just for a newer gpu, right?

No - the GPU is indifferent of most other hardware, as long as it's got PCIe. Firstly, the Q6600 is a Core 2 Quad CPU, not Core Duo. Secondly, as the other guys said, a 270X or 760 is probably a good option. The Q6600 isn't exactly fast by today's standards, but it's certainly no slouch.
