I have the things in my building a new pc thread included in my signature so already have a z77 mobo, basically the only thing I have left to buy is the cpu and gpu, well i can get a 3570k at frys for 230, or 210 on new egg, or a 2600k for 225 at frys local pickup only which isn't a problem, can pick it up after work.

So my question is I guess.

Should I get a 2600K for 225 or 3570k for 210. The 15 dollar difference doesn't matter to me, mainly just the performance / cooling ability is making me ponder this.

They have a 2700k for 199 =/ but none in my store and a 2500k for 125 -.-'! if the 2500k was in my store it wouldn't even be a post about this. such a steal.

I don't, I do like to run multiple things at once which I'm sure the 2600K would do better at, and plan to stream some, but the biggest thing swaying this is the fact that the 2600k will more then likely overlock better, won't get as warm and is just plain stronger. Just wish that damn 2500K was in my store, does anyone know if they will ship to a difference store to pick up their? lol, saving that 100 bucks would be nice. Confusing why the 2700k is cheaper then the 2600k also.

Hoping the 2600K stays in stock until Friday =/

So a new factor has come, besides calling and asking if they can deliver it from another store, i noticed they have a 2550K which is also only 135 Dollars, so 100 less then a 2600K my only question is that does it lose quick sync, iirc it doesnt have igpu, but idc about that at all. Also is quick sync useful for anything besides video editing etc?

I hope this answers your question :)

I already bought the 2550K and loving it, Overclocked it to 4.5 and maxes out at around 63c on a h90 in pull only in a room thats 80F , that would have cost another 50 bucks anyway, plus no micro center by me
