Whats the best option for 4k video?, this is strictly a HTPC so no stupid answers please as I'm on a tight budget for this build. I was looking a a R7 250, but is there anything cheaper or better for that price?. and by the way if I do any gaming it will be via steam streaming from my gaming rig so don't think the GPU is too important as my laptop handles it pretty well.

Personally I do think that intel's onboard GPU is decent for 4K output

I think R7 240 can output 4K or buy an APU.

I think you could get away with an APU ^^

I'm using a few bits from my old PC which is an AM3+ and a Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition so I don't want to buy a new mobo and apu.

1. He is using the GPU to play 4K content, not gaming

2. A 760 hardly get max setting in 1080p, let alone 4K

Yeah as I said in a previous quote I'll be using some of my old hardware so I need a cheap GPU just to play 4k content on my 4k TV.

then yeah, you can go with a 250, I don't think there's anything cheaper that supports 4k.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

This can do 4k as well, not all of them, but I checked a few on Newegg,

Am I the only one around here who really doesn't like pcpartpicker?
I also like Ubisoft and Origin/EA
Guess I'm just odd that way.
