SLI Madness ???

I was reading about SLI and i came across this web page while at work. It spoke about sli 2 different cards. wondering if this is even possible. I did not get the chance to read through all 25 pages of the post yet. what do you people think about it ?Happy reading guys as i will read the article  when i get home from work.

As long as the architectures are the same I can't see why you can't SLI two different manufactured cards.

you can crossfire any 7900 series GPU (and the 7870 XT) but they will run like the worst card

There's no reason you can't use any number of multiple cards from any manufacturer together, except, you know, software. Interesting to find someone on the internet finally trying to make it work, but I doubt it's easy to code for.

You can SLI different manufacturers [ASUS DCUII + MSI Lightning]

You cannot SLI different models to run as a dual GPU: 670 + 680 will not work.

from some of the pages i read seem to work with different vid cards
