Need Video Editing Workstation Help. $1850 Budget.

Soaked

Helping a friend out with his video editing build, would like suggestions.

1. Budget & Location

$1850 USD & Northern Illinois, United States. No Microcenter. As low as possible please.

2. Aim

The build is going to be for 90% video editing. I don't plan on doing any gaming. I want to be able to edit up to 4k video without any problems.

3. Monitors

Only need one monitor but it has to be IPS or PLS.

4. Peripherals
Need keyboard & mouse thinking of this http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-keyboard-sgb3010kkmf1us. Need Windows 8.1 64-bit

Edit: Thinking along the lines of i7-5820k and Crucial 32GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-2133 memory (cheapest 32GB)

Even in video editing and rendering I dont use up all of my 16gb of ram so you could save some money that way

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

You dont need a full tower, the PSU is overkill but the price is nice so i would leave it...

16GB of RAM is just not enough for 4K editing with a 6-core CPU like this. Beyond raw export encoding performance, you'd have a better experience with an i7-4790K and 32GB of RAM over bottlenecking a 5820K/5930K with just 16GB of RAM.

I would get a 280x, I'm pretty sure it's the same price as the 760

@soaringchicken The cheapest 280x ($209) would have less 1GB less VRAM for $30 less and have a weaker aftermarket cooler. Don't think it's worth. I guess this is the best hes going to get for this price, I wish I could fit in a 4K IPS display lol but that's like $550 WTF

Thanks for the help guys.
