Best fan configuration

Go to solution Solved by Sonefiler,

If I have:

Front 2 x 140mm as intake

Bottom 2 x 120mm as intake

Top 2 x 140mm as exhaust

Back 1 x 140mm as exhaust

Power supply fan side down

Will that create a positive pressure interior? The issue i'm having is will the 2 x 120mm fans put more air into the case then the 1 x 140mm fan can exhaust?

That would be perfect imo. Check the manufacturer of the fans and check the CFM of the fans, and then and you can get an idea of whether there's more intake or exhaust

What would be the best fan configuration using a Corsair 780T case.

The fans I will be using are:

2 x 140mm front fans

2 x 140mm top fans

2 x 120mm bottom fans

1 x 140mm rear fan

Also as the 780T has a filtered power supply intake, should the power supply intake be faced up or down?

I would like to have the best airflow while maintaining a positive pressure interior.

Thanks

More intake than exhaust for less dust. Power Supply Down unless there's carpet or you need more exhaust.

FANBOY OF: PowerColor, be quiet!, Transcend, G.Skill, Phanteks

FORMERLY FANBOY OF: A-Data, Corsair, Nvidia

DEVELOPING FANBOY OF: AMD (GPUS), Intel (CPUs), ASRock

Uh... you sound like someone new to air cooling, no offense.  For very basic setup, 2 in, 1-2 out is enough. The whole negative/positive thing is more important in dusty situations but for cooling in general you want neutral pressure. Also more fan is more noise. The bottom fans can be just useless if you have non-modular PSU or just too many cables blocking airflow. You will also need to remove bottom most HDD cage to fit that another bottom fan.
