Darn choices... Help Please

Go to solution Solved by Godlygamer23,

I have around $300 for a GPU and frankly speaking the 760 doesn't seem like the best choice. Should I get a 7950? 760? I did see a 7970 for $330 the other day on sale and I was wondering if maybe prices will drop a little more to fit my budget in the near future? Alsooo I head AMD might launch their new line of graphics card.... I'm not sure how long that will be or if it's worth waiting. Opinions please :)

-BTW a sapphire 7950 right now is at $270 and after MIR $250

Gonna get a 7950. Thanks guys!

Go 7950. Free games and awesome performance!

If the price of the 7970 drops or you save up the other 30$ get that one.

There will also be no new AMD cards until at least Q3.

Remember the games that come with a 7950. This 7950 is $300. Bring in the games, and the price is effectively lowered to $130.

Patience is the key, wait for the prices to drop on the 7970 and maybe till that time we will be more sure about when the new AMD cards are going to release. If you reach the point when you can't wait anymore the 7950 is a very good choice, but again patience is the key!!

Hope it helped!

If you can get a 7970 for around 330 I would go for that or you can just wait and see what else AMD is going to bring to the table.

No. 7950 would be better. Overclock it and you can probably achieve 7970 performance.
