PC Setup - Any improvements?

Hey Guys,

 

a friend of mine wants to build himselfe a gaming rig (also used for audio-engeneering)

This is his setup:

R5 Titanium

 

CPU:

AMD Piledriver FX8350,

8x 4.0GHz

 

Mainboard:

AMD Piledriver FX8350,

8x 4.0GHz

 

Graphics:

AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB, MSI Gaming 4G

(2x 8GB)

Do you have any suggestions how to improve this system?

Would be nice to get some feedback by ppl who know this stuff

Maybe change to an intel cpu? that way he would have to buy a mobo and a cpu.

 

Imo his build already looks very solid for gaming... 

 

edit: I thought he already had his rig built :B yea... but I'd get an intel processor (eg i5 4690k...) over that FX 8350.

Go with a 4460 instead of the 8350 and go with a 970, otherwise the build is fine

For this sort of budget go with an Intel cpu. Where are you buying from ?

I agree with the others, no AMD cpu is highly recommended...

Budget >1000E?  Go Intel. (i5/i7)
1000 >Budget > 500  Go AMD (FX 6300)
Budget <500 go Intel.  (Pentium/i3)

I would pick the i5 4690K and maybe a 970 or a R9 290 from Sapphire.
